Just wanted to share my latest creation at The Sweet Factory.. Lawanda (the owner) is trying to get her name out there so we're making little goodie bags with cookies and a few mini cakes to distribute around the area to different businesses. Side note- If anyone has any suggestions for some good marketing techniques, they would be greatly appreciated!
Disclaimer: these pictures were taken with my phone- definitely not Tastespotting or Foodgawker material..
Note the penmanship :)
So what do you think?? If you got one of these at your place of work,
would you be inclined to come check us out??

Hey Evpie... oh that name fits so much better now! Anyways a friend of mine was telling me this bakery sent a box of blue cookies decorated with a post card to their office saying "Congratulations on your bundle of joy!" and then on the back it said something like Oh, your not pregnant? Well there are many good reasons to send treats to your friends... and then it listed some reasons to go visit their bakery. I thought it was funny :)
<3 you
If you delivered one of these to my office...I would come and see you that evening! Your cake looks beautiful, and I hope you keep on posting more of your creations!
Hit up the realtors around here and maybe some banks also.
Hmm...
First, there is a web site right?
I would also suggest to find a non-profit or two in your area who has annual events and offer to supply a cake or desserts for free. At the event you could hand out business cards and have everyone sample your work :)
BTW, this is Vanessa. I went to school for communications and love marketing! I also bake cakes in my spare time :)
